Focussing on the training is a bit of an issue for me at present for what will be my eighth Brighton Marathon.
70 plus Fetches taking part so far for what should be another great weekend on the south coast.

I'm in again. Into week 5 of my training plan, but that is on hold due to a chest infection.

I've had several months away from running (just the odd run now and then). Feel like I have left it too late. Still, did 3 runs last week and will see how I get on. Fingers crossed!

I've noticed on the race website that they're not inviting overseas elite runners as they want to focus on British athletes instead. It's not London but a bit of overseas interest is a good thing in my opinion. Interesting to see what Channel 4 make of Grounded Events' decision.

I loved seeing the overseas runner storming the other way as I headed out and they ran back towards the finish line. Added glamour to the whole thing.

Yes, I got used to seeing the leading men while at the start line, on the climb up to Rottingdean and as they were finishing. The placement of the corrals last year meant that I missed them at the start and it took so long to start myself that I only saw the leading women finishing instead.

Just registered my son for the Mini-Mile (his sixth time in the race). Great to see that Gatwick Airport are paying the entry fees. I was happy to give a donation to Cancer Research on the Active entry form under the circumstances. However, I was surprised to see that a [small] processing fee was taken by Active when the only monies involved are for charity.
