I could highlight several things that were not right; from transport to congestion and refreshments to repatriation, which could be improved by Grounded Events. Others are probably down to runners etiquette, like what you've noted, Marts.

I don't what to be too negative about what is generally a great race and probably more spectator friendly than other events including the VLM. My entourage all had complaints but all have said that they will be coming down to support me again in 2015.

First time I've done this. Overall I was really impressed. Bunching at the start I was expecting anyway, I thought the water stations were easy to negotiate (I always tend to avoid the first couple anyway). I was surprised by the rolling hills but I'm on canvey Island so any gradient is hilly to me. The only bit I didn't enjoy was trying to get out afterwards and going over the crossing point, ouch. The support was fantastic. Cheers Brighton. I've had in the back of my mind that I'd like each of my marathons to be in different places, but I'd happily go back and do this one again.

Brighton 2015 is the weekend of my wedding anniversary, so I won't be running it next year. My revenge will have to wait until 2016!

I heard a rumour of an early booking discount via an official email; I don't appear to have received one - any thoughts or is this wishful thinking?

It's on the website now.
A mere £42 rather than the latecomer's £52.

The 'Congratulations' email I had said £52.50 and that's what I've paid.

I think you had to register at the expo to get the £42 price and I was adamant at that time that I wouldn't be doing it again.

£1.98 per mile isn't bad

I have entered Marlow 5 - that's £2.40 per mile

Anyone spot themselves on Channel 4 this morning? I managed to get a picture in The Argus and on one You Tube video but not on the main TV coverage (again).
