I always got the impression that a lot of the support was from locals, they wont pay. Only people who want to watch their loved ones will bother.
Seems a real shame, I think its a great event, but there will be a limit to how much I want to pay.

Im not happy with this 3 tier system of paying £45/£55/£65 there should be just one charge for all whenever u decide to enter, maybe wrong but I dont know any other races that work this way.

Was just about ok with the £45 charge as it is a great event, but feel sorry for the many that have to stump up for hotels, travel, PnR etc........lucky I live locally didnt have these added costs.

Dublin ramps the rate up on July 1st, then again a month or so later, and charges higher rates to non-EU citizens.

Sort of think I knew that bid city marathons charged higher prices for non-residents, but blimey didnt realise that this sort of thing was so rife :-(

Quite a lot of big city races have tiered entry, usually by date but sometimes also by how quickly it fills up.

I struggle with the idea of paying over £40 for a race and can't imagine paying over £50 unless it was a major marathon.

Charge spectators??!
