Ah so it's just that they start clearing the course / barriers etc. That's fair enough as long as people still get recognition for completing the thing.

John66 - you are correct the last 5 miles ish are along the sea front so you are not on public roads, and i am sure this year that people who finished at 7 hours still got t-shirts, medals and goodie bags etc
