I have my berry shot bloks, so that's everything now!

One question: I'm not sure whether to set my Garmin to the usual clock/pace setting, or whether to put the little running man on. I like him, and sometimes I find it easier to just see if I'm in front of or behind him rather than looking at pace all the time.

However, I *do* want to stick to as close to 10min miles as possible and if I can't see the pace I might blow it.

Hmm, decisions decisions ...

How does the little running man work? I've only used it once, when I set the Garmin to a certain time for a half-marathon and had the little running man to keep me on track -- but of course the 13.1 mile point came up before the race end, which was a wee bit annoying! So if you have to specify a distance don't put in 26.2 miles...

Dumb question time - is the little running man only on the 405, or as a 305 owner am I entitled to a little running man?

Is lap pace the one where at the end of each ile it tells you what your time was? If so, I use it and it's handy.

ile? mile.

I can't concentrate at work today. I think 'll shoot off early and expend some energy doing manic housework or something.

Watched the course video last night. The two things I got from it were "Feck that's a long way" and also "Ooo, I'm suprised at how easy it is to cheat is you are so inclined".

lap pace tells you what you are averaging over that period so if you have your garmin on auto lap for say 5 miles it will give you the lap pace over the 5 miles rather than current pace which jumps around.

Remember the course is rolling so during the first 11 miles a consistant effort will be more efficient than even pace.
