Disappointed I cant stay around Brighton although I am off the pop until after London...

I can't hang around either which is a shame, although I am definitely not off the Vino Rosso, helps with the carb loading :)

Just did my last double figure run - 15 miles at marathon pace. I actually went a little bit quicker and felt good...except for a pesky ligament or something that has been niggling in my right knee since last week. Off to see Superfizz on Tuesday night so he'll sort me out. :-)

Hopefully it'll be okay Mrs W! I will do 15 miles tomorrow with possibly the last 5 at race pace but no more, am slightly feeling the effects of overcooking the pace on thursday and have a very slight tweak in the back of my right leg.

Everything is tweaked at thiss stage isn't it? One of my non-running friends said "you must be feeling so fit and healthy!" and I just laughed. :-)

Anyway, I'm not worried about my knee. It doesn't feel like an injury, just something niggling. Got time to rest if need be but I'll see what superfizz says.

Just did 15 and it felt very jaded :( did the last 7 at race pace and struggled with it, I suppose that's what tapers are for, resting you up for the race. I am feeling a lot better now after a protein shake and a session with the foam roller :) 2 weeks from now I hope to be heading back along the promenade from the power station on the last leg!

Two weeks of rest now Nikaim - all will be well :)

I sneaked in a final 20 this morning, just to make it to ten 20mile+ training runs in this training block. Chucked in 5 miles at race pace in the middle and the final mile too, just for luck :)

Nice on Tedlar

I shuffled and groaned round 14 hilly miles today, legs and hips hurt but the peppermint tea/colpermin seems to be working and no stomach cramps/pit stops so encouraging in that dept. The average mile pace was awful though, so slow, at this rate I will be lucky to finish before Monday ;-)
