Ultra Kazzaaaaah!!
Having put what was then a likely target time on my entry am in the Tango zone, ie right at the back. Now I'm aiming for some 45 mins faster than last year so I've given myself an even bigger headache to hit my target. Humph!

I've niggled my knee, which I have never had problems with. That will teach me for running 22 miles with jet lag and heavy legs - doesn't feel like anything serious though.

Gobi, you appear to have a restaurant in LA named after you. New business venture?

PaulaMc - I also want a 4:30 - the trick is pacing (says the man that has never run a mara!!) - Shall we pace each other to a 04:29:59??

Just back from Fleet Half, new PB (Garmin time of 01:55:16) so very happy, off to the pub.....

Gobi, hopefully I've got plenty of wriggle room!! Target at beginning of year for Brighton was sub-5, already done that at Quadzilla and Malta and recent training puts me in the 4.40-4.45 area at the mo. So if push comes to shove and I 'just' do it then I'll be happy enough. With something like 24 marathons this year I've got plenty of opportunity to get the times I want :)

Last long run of the campaign done today. 30km in 2:40, felt great as I upped the pace for the last 9 km to quicker than race pace :-O Just Wilmslow Half to get out of the way next week before I join the slowdownyoumovetoofast gang

Sod the restaurant. He has a whole DESERT named after him. It's obviously the only place in the world you can go where it's a big enough expanse not to hear him :¬O
