You never got back to me Poots, I thought you thought I was a mentalist serial killer pacer.

Mentalist serial killers should make excellent pacers.

Got my number, 1810 and yellow, it's my first mara and I just ran a 01:55 half, is yellow the right wave?

Might not be far off, but I wouldn't worry. There are only a couple of pinch points on the route, and they reckon they have sorted those out for this year.
I was in yellow last year.

Hi Pompey Paul, I've got a 1:55 half time too and I'm also in yellow. This is my 4th marathon but I still feel like I don't have a clue what I'm doing!

I seem to lack confidence in marathons. The training has gone well, I'm feeling strong, and should easily be on target for a sub 4-30, but I'm still nervous. My head does horrible things to me sometimes, like telling me I should stop this stupid running and just forget about time targets. That's all very well on a general run around the park, but at mile 17 in a marathon it's a pain in the backside.

I *so* want a sub 4.30, it's ridiculous. It's not even as if I'm aiming high or anything ...!

Question. I planned a 20 mile run next Sunday 27th - my last long run. Is that too late?

Looking at your training H I don't think that 20 next w/e will be too late for you. I wouldn't say that you are over trained so you should be OK and your could do with a confidence boost that your knees will continue to hold out for you.
