Well if the weather is less than perfect, how about The Globe beerintheevening.com

I popped in there after last years race, the place was deserted. Loads of room, plus sofas and not far from the finish.

Beer was good, Darkstar Hophead is the best post marathon recovery drink about :)

Plus the barmaid looked at my medal and thought I'd won the race :)

Its just a few minutes hobble back along the seafront from the finish Pootle. I would say the same distance as the Fortune of War, except this is in land.

Oh I'm sure they do lager :)

Last year, the pub was cool and peaceful after the crowds and the heat at the finish
