FF - Thanks for the ProPlus tip, tried them out today on my 21 mile LSR and felt great, didn't get any instant buzz or anything but felt strong in the last 5 miles and finished the last 2 miles as the fastest 2 of the day. Feeling far more confident for Brighton now after last weeks LSR was a mess

I am pleased to say that I manage the full 20 at Wymondham today. That was a real confidence boost. LSR the first 14 and then sub 8:00s for the last 8. No by my reckoning, I will have my first *stout* well before 2pm |

17 miles done today. The double caffeine gel kicked in at mile 11 after taking it at mile 10..... lasted until mile 16 when I faded fast!

Shocking running for me today. Planned 22 miles, and at 17 was pulling my friend along and really encouraging him along. Then just after 19 it all went wrong for me - ran out of fuel, and had literally nothing to give. Pulled up by a helpful bus stop as my watch bleeped for 32km and aborted. Very long, cold walk home, scarfed down bacon butty, then just went splat into bed, out cold for 3 hours. Feeling a little more human now, but was feeling terrible earlier Hoping this is one of those bad days that make the good days so good!

Brilliant 14 miles of the Wymondham 20 yesterday then the stomach cramps kicked in and nearly pulled out at 17 miles as the pain was so bad. Managed to get to the finish line but my confidence in my stomach is in tatters and I have waved goodbye (in my mind) to the sub 4. I know I can do it physically it's just a case of whether my stomach lets me. Sorry to hear about your run Jamie, hope you can sort out your fuelling issues!! |

Sort your mind out love. What happens in Wymondham, stays in Wymondham. Ne'er to be repeated in Brighton. |

Has anyone else got worms? Honestly, I can't stop eating now my milage is "up there" again. Great thing is I don't seem to be putting on weight (hence the worms!) at the moment. I can't see that continuing come taper time though. I'm not just eating for eatings sake either. I just tried to do a run on "just" the porridge and sandwich I had for breakfast, and got all fuzzy and lightheaded after a mile and had to come back to work for food. Bah! |

I wolfed my way through a huge lunch after my HM yesterday, followed by masses of courgette carbonara for tea. It's almost back to my military days in terms of food intake!
