I've already done a 20 and 21 miler last weekend and the week before. I have 20, 13.1 (MK 1/2) and a 22 left before taper time which I can't bloody wait for now!

Feeling a bit better about my running and general fitness after this mornings run. It was only a 10k route, but it has a bastard hill between miles 5 and 6 that I usually end up having to walk up, yet this morning I flew up like it was barely there :-) I was disappointed with having to cut my lsr short on Saturday, but maybe it was for the best. I keep telling myself I deserve a drop back week after 2 20+ milers on the bounce.

I did GVH 17 mile marathon training run yesterday,The next run there is 20 miles but it is 2 weeks before the Brighton marathon which i am running..Would this be too close to that marathon.

Just out of interest, how long has everone been training for this?

I'd like to say I started my training on the weekend of January 8th, but that would be a bit of a lie because I was far to unfit back then (just after Christmas!) to run the 13 miles I wanted to do so ended up splitting the lsr over two days and two runs of 6.5 miles.

The weekend after that, 15th January, is really when I started properly training. So far to date I've done the following lsr's:-

16.79
18
15.03
20.08
21.02
13.01

And between now and the big day I have these planned:-

22 (*wibble*)

Race Day

13 weeks training doesn't seem enough when I put it like that, especially when 2 of those 13 weeks is taper and the other is race day. Hmm, so that makes only 10 weeks hard training :-/ I feel so underprepared this year.
