Guiness is most definitely a good thing! As is ONE glass of red wine the night before a race, it helps me get a good night's sleep anyway and that is quite important :)

So if we've established that paracetamol before running is probably ok, although it might mask injury, but ibuprofen is a less good idea, what about codeine? I have taken paracetamol & codeine before a race / LSR a couple of times before to help with period pain but was never sure if it was a bad idea overall.
