Just need to say that this thread has been a really big help to me today. Forest Faerie and E! I am in the same boat. Training totally off the rails. Lost mojo. Stoopid fecking injury due to Verruccas FFS. Last weekend I attempted a 14 miler and had to get the bus home half way. Just went out to do a 10k but just had no energy or enthusiasm. Looped back before halfway, got home and burst into tears. Sorry to hear other peeps are having a tough time.

For me it doesn't help that work is pants and keeping me awke at night, and that normally lovely running keeps me sane.

I'm trying to make a decision about whther I've left it too late to recover missing mojo and get training back on track in time for April 10th. :-(

I hope other people that are struggling are back on the up.

Oh Lully - you are the caretaker of the hostess trolley! I do hope you can carry on!! big big hugs to you and anyone else struggling. Haven't run for a week now, going to concentrate on fixing my running so it becomes more in tune with me than fighting me hopefully. aiming to try a teensy run tomorrow although going to wine call my bluff tonight so may not be in any shape!

Lully - I am doing my marathon training on just one long run a week and a shorter ones when I can fit them it. B-Lass did her first marathon the other day without any training. Come Girl Power :-)

I sympathise with everyone that has lost their running mojo, I feel exactly the same. Just done 20 miles and was ready to give up at about 8. I don't remeber it hurting that much at that distance when I was training for VLM last year. I finished up doing 10.01 mm, which is shit even if you don't take into account the stops for "stretching" that I didn't record. If you factor them in I was probably doing 15 minute miles lol!

It doesn't help that I live somewhere that is so bloody hilly. I am consoling myself with the hope that it will all come together on the day. Race day is so much different to being out there alone, in the cold and rain, willing the miles to tick past faster than they bloody well do when you're training.

(((Pootle))) - you did it and that what counts. Best have a bad run in training than on the big day.

You will all be ok, no one ever said this shit was easy and if they did they were big fat smelly liars. I am planning to do 22 tomorrow and dreading it to be honest. have only trained for two marathons so far but in both build ups have had to cut at least one long run seriously short because of CBA. You will manage on the day though, just as I did. Heads up now gang...

My heads up. No loss of mojo, lots of sympathy for those who have lost theirs, but in a way it's good because I am now more likely to win :-)

Raaaaargh etc.
