I don't know Brighton as all, only ever been there once, so if someone would like to make a suggestion of a pub for the meeting place I'll be happy to trundle along...

Last year we just met at one of the bars along the seafront and chilled on the cobbles, but then the weather was warm and sunny so I guess it will depend on what weather we get that weekend

Thats right, I think last year people met for drinks at the Fortune of War on the seafront. Though it was packed, and a big queue for the bar as I seemed to remember. I just fancied somewhere to cool off. So went to the first pub in The Lanes. Nice place it was, plenty of sofas, very quiet and good beer. Plus the barmaid thought I had won the race, when she saw my medal. Got a bit of mileage out of that I'll have to remember the name of the place. |

Yepper, we were at the Fortune of War for Anna Finn's 100th marathon presentation and a few Fetchies were there (not enough though). It was as packed as Linford Christie's knickers, and no good for bad weather so somewhere in the Lanes may be a safer bet. Plus they didn't do food, you had to buy your chips from the chippy next door. |
