Didn't some people try the standing in the sea option last year?

Yep, I did the standing in the sea thing. It certainly did the trick for me...though getting back out was interesting. :-)

Ohhh Footpad thank God for that! I keep looking on here and panicking I will never be ready as I only did 11 miles last weekend when everyone else is up to 18 odd!

I'm only upto 8 miles at the moment. Got 10 at the weekend.

Reckon I'll be into stupid mileage zone soon though.

I'm aiming for a 15 mile bimble with my friend (who is also running Brighton) this weekend, though it might be more of a run/walk over those last few miles the way we coped with this weekends lsr!

I'm not half as prepared for Brighton as I was this time last year for VLM, but then I know what to expect now so I'm a lot more relaxed about it all. No doubt that will end up being my downfall!

I am a bit ahead, but my plan is to get to 18 and loiter there for a while so that I dont get the ITB problems that ruined training last year.
