Just caught up with this thread. I've now had my entry to Sussex Marathon confirmed (the week before Birghton), so no longer need a place. The list now stands as:

Although it's too late to do it officially, my race number is up for grabs, just want what I paid for it. Once sold, I'll also be cancelling my room reservation at the Premier Inn, Burgess Hill, so someone could also get sorted for accommodation.

18. I am unable to run in the race. Can I transfer my number to someone else?
A18. Yes we will be accommodating requests of this nature up until midnight on Sunday 31st October 2010. To do this you need to email info@brightonmarathon.co.uk with your name and registration number. The email should also contain details of the runner you are transferring your number to including: Full name, email address, Full postal address, telephone numbers (day and evening), date of Birth, Gender, Emergency contact name and telephone number, age on race day, expected finish time, T-shirt size and any medical conditions.
