Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I kept thinking "if the weather is like this on race day I'll have a stiff bodied tantrum and head for the pub" during this morning's run :)

It won't be, Mrs W. It just won't be. 16c with the slightest breath of a cooling breeze coming off the sea, then warming up so we can sit in the sun and have a beer afterwards. Perfect.

I'm with Johnny on this. I'd like it to be between 5-10°C please. 16° is way to hot for a marathon.

More importantly, no wind! If there is any breeze, I'd like it coming off the sea to gently cool me in those final 3 miles as I pick up the pace… :)

Or a nice strong tail wind for the last 3 miles, that miraculously wasn't there when running towards the power station...

Pre-Race for the regulations Fetch Photo, please assemble outside the massive white tent in the middle of Preston Park.

As you look up the park (it's a slope) we shall be congregating on the right hand side of said massive white tent... the information and lost sprogs tent, it is close to the Pavillion...very close.

Group Photo 08:15?

Post race, we are heading to the Hop Pole pub.

Have a cracking race, see you all on Sunday.
