Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

There will be a short test on the contents of the Essential Guide at mile 23. Those who do not score 100% will be removed from the race.

Ive looked a bit, do prefer a hard copy about the house rather than ipad reading. Just old fashioned.

Trying to keep cool, having waves of first marathon nerves, but feeling good right now.

For those who haven't read the Essential Guide, here is a summary:

1: the race is on this Sunday
2: it's in Brighton which is along the bottom if you look at a map of Britain
3: it's starts at 9am, either in Preston Park for most of us or Withdean Park for the faster types. If you're late, they wont wait.
4: it's quite a long way and it wiggles about a bit. Follow the people in front - they know the way!
5: don't stop until someone hangs a medal round your neck
6: go to the Hop Poles in Middle Street and join other Fetchies for a well-earned pint orchampagne (actually that bit isn't in the Guide)

About This Thread

Pre-Race for the regulations Fetch Photo, please assemble outside the massive white tent in the middle of Preston Park.

As you look up the park (it's a slope) we shall be congregating on the right hand side of said massive white tent... the information and lost sprogs tent, it is close to the Pavillion...very close.

Group Photo 08:15?

Post race, we are heading to the Hop Pole pub.

Have a cracking race, see you all on Sunday.
