breaking the 2min barrier for the 800m
4:32pm, 11 Jul 2016
Weds- 1 Cawynnen run. It's a circular run approx 1.3miles long mostly uphill. 10m 55
Thurs- 10 laps of sprint 150m, jog 250m without stopping, and I managed it!
Sat- 4 mile run, blackrock route. Not done this since March, time of 26m10.
Sun- 3x 1km with 1m between, the uphill from x-roads route. I think I should give myself 1.5mins, I think I would be stronger for it!
4:56pm, 20 Jul 2016
Tues- another 4 mile run in 25.50
Thurs- 800, 700, 600, 500, 400, 300 with 100m jog recovery between the runs. That was tough!

piranTues 26th July- race at Exeter. Go out slow as the 10x150m from Thurs and the hills have made my hamstring tight. First lap 68! But overtake whole field on the 2nd lap and win in 2m15. Nice feeling!
Weds- carwynnen hill- 2m03
Thurs- 2x 800m. Hamstring much better. According to coach, times were 1m59 and 2m05! Had a chat about the lack of translation from training into races and I do agree that I do not a competitive attitude. It is not a driver for me. I have been enjoying competing this year more than ever, but that is not the same thing. So a best of 1m59 in training, but still 2m13 in a race!
Sunday 31st- 800m race again, 2m16. So frustrating I cannot get in races anywhere I can in training. Followed by a 400 in 61 and a relay, again split of 61
Monday- 5x 300 with jog 100m recovery.
Tues- 2x 2km of my usual route new best time of 7m 16. 2m30s rest and second time of 7m30
Weds- 10x 50m sprints followed by clean and jerks
Thurs- 4x 150m with jog back recovery. 800m; 2x150.
Fri- carwynnen run. Unfortunately my stop watch didn’t start, so don’t know the time!
Sat- morning- 5x 200 at cross roads
afternoon- carwynnen run. 11m17
Sun- 1x carwynnen hill in 2m05
4:55pm, 18 Aug 2016
piranMonday 8th- 4x 200, 1x 800m and 2x 150m.
Tues- Carwynnen run
Thurs- 4x 150m, 3x 120m, banks, 1x 100m.
Sat- 3mile run
Monday 15th- 300, 200, 100, 50 and repeat
1:45pm, 24 Aug 2016
piranTues and Weds- off
Thurs- 12 laps of jog bends and sprint straights
Sat- 2 mile run
Sun- 1 carwynnen hill in 2m03
Monday- 2x 800m. in 2m07 and 2m14. Hmm, I am suffering with pinching in my calves lately on some runs, that and heavy hamstrings. I think it is probably that my trainers are too old. Time to replace them!
3:05pm, 30 Aug 2016
piranTues- 2x 2km route around Troon with 2m30 rest between the two. Times were 7m39 and 7m34
Weds- 10x 50m hill sprints
Thurs- 12 laps of sprint 300 with 100m jog recovery
Fri- carwynnen run in 10m55
Sat- 1.5 mile route into Treslothan in 7m31, jog back and do the approx 750m Treslothan downhill in 1m53. New best times for both these routes. New pair of trainers is working!
Sun- 5x 1km with 1m30 rest between each. Times 3m30, 4m10, 3m25, 3m30 and 3m35
Mon- 8 laps of sprint 200, jog 200. I have not had a day off from running in 10days, think one is called for!
