make that 23 people interested in the 10-in-10
I've decided to head to Scotland (OH allowing!) for a crack at the British Ultra next year instead.
Suppose I should let them know...

I thought a few would drop off from the 24 who expressed an interest, i've sent in my entry but with only 37 / 38 marathons under my belt expect I'l be knocked back through lack of experience, but running 6 marathons in 6 weekends including a double to ensure I'm ready - sadly last weekend's seaford marathon turned out to be just a 25.5 mile run as it wasn't measured properly. Wolverhampton this weekend

Foxydavy, some of the 10-in-10 runners this year had done fewer marathons than you, and some of those who hadn't already done several thousand marathons were among the faster finishers ...
All you can be sure of is that if you won't apply you won't get in

I'll have to see, don't know how many applied last year to know what my odds are ?
As you say, got to apply to have any chance of getting in.
