You can do one marathon on "I'm a nutter, me, look at memememememememe!"
You might not be able to get up and do another one the next day

we'll hold each other up and we'll get round and it doesn't matter if we walk loads and take 8 hours - but we WILL do it
if only to prove my nearest and dearest wrong - I'm constantly being told I'm stupid to have entered before I've seen the magic hip doc

Absolutely. There's an 8-hour cut-off. The hills aren't the north face of the Eiger, they're upsy-downsy roads. The marshalling and support is excellent. And there's a chippy or two in Ambleside

Can I have a Two in Three group, kind of a little TiT:) I'm doing FLM, then this as a long training run:)
Oh, and Windermere 2007 was my 1st marathon and as I crossed the line I said that if I did another marathon I wouldn't push myself again as it hurt too much. Within a month I was signed up for Amsterdam to do a sub 3 attempt, which I missed due to injury so I HAD to return to Windermere to get the sub 3:) Which I did:)
