Do people fancy trying to work together on the accomodation front? Seems to me that it would enhance the party atmospere if we could all be in the same hotel(s). And we might get a group discount. And a special order of porridge for breakfast.

Nightjar, yes indeedy, but it has to have a roof and a bath - if there's the faintest whiff of canvas, you can keep it...:-)

I can confirm that NSC is a few months older than me and therefore has 23 candles next year. Whereas my next birthday will only be 22.

I thought I might stay B&B at Brathay Hall, but haven't heard back from them yet. I'd like to stay near other people! Not sure when/how travelling - I thought I might take the train - go up Friday & home Monday.

I don't know LizzieLou! Surely there must be others of us?
I think hubby and I are planning to get the train to Manchester and then pick up a hire car there - we're staying for a few days after as well.
But if you want to join us on the train and hitch a lift on the way there at least you're welcome!
