The website implies that a lot of the course is along roads including some of the busier A-roads in the Windermere area. Can anyone who's done this one before give a brief write-up on what the course is like? I like the side of running a Lake District Marathon but not if it's alongside or on busy roads.

The first part is closed until the runners are all through (first four miles or so, until the field starts to spread out) It's well marshalled I've had no problem with the traffic for the last 2 years.
