RooA - sorry I didn't recognise you - I was struggling a bit at that point so it was a bit of a blur - but the encouragement from you and Slowboy and the fact that you recognised me was a real boost:):)

One of the few occasions that it's OK to go on a photo site and search for "69", eh?

I think I was grinning like an idiot from when the rain started at about 21 miles! I'm still smiling at the end, even though it was almost a personal worst!

Good photos! Some of Ogee, Tramps and me in Hawkshead having a good old chat. I think that was when Ogee was telling us how glad he was that his daughter hadn't seen the photo of him with his pants down on Facebook..

I look a right maniac on my finish photos. And most of the others seem to have me showing off my energy gels to the crowds! I'm glad there aren't any of me blubbing afterwards though.
I was also moved to burst into song through Bowness - Snow Patrol, Chasing Cars I think it was. Top lyric of the day though was just as I turned the corner to finish, Bob Dylan came on informing me that "Nobody feels any pain" - that made me laugh out loud.
