LOL @ r4r... I can relate to that too. :D

I'm fine on the flat, but getting from sitting down for a while, or walking on stairs... ugh!

Congrats with your achievement, eL Bee, particularly that final time. Where did you manage to pull that one out of?!

eL Bee!
Cheers altyfc!

The legs felt good - and I was running well :)
It was none of those races where it all just came together. :)

I'd echo what altyfc said Mr Bee - to do your fastest one on the last day (& win it!) given the issues you had previously is incredible.

I don't share the same view as eL Bee! re the final 8 miles of the course - I much preferred the 1st 8miles (in fact the section right upto Newby Bridge) - I didn't like the traffic from Newby Bridge onwards - perhaps because I'm not used to running/doing a race with so many cars flying by?

Thorton Runner - I recognised you at the top of the 'speed bump' so you got an extra cheer from me and Slowboy. That's probably what you are remembering. :)

We never got a traffic-free run to Hawkshead, and it was busier than ever on Sunday.

I think eL Bee! should trademark the "speed bump" description!
I had just begin to really struggle then and recall someone kindly giving me a jelly baby and some words of encouragement - they were much appreciated (I wasn't wearing my Fetch top)
