Snowdonia is very different from Windermere in that it has more sustained climbs and drops. I can imagine running a PB on either course, but not at Langdale.

Haven't run Snowdonia, but having hobbled to the finish yesterday (Pulled calf muscle at 16 miles - hoped it may just be cramp, but alas it isn't) I'd say that Windermere is challenging, but no-where near as tough as Langdale (which is the hardest half marathon I've ever done, and I don't think I could contemplate running the full marathon).
Windermere is tough because it is essentially constantly undulating, but in terms of killer hills it is pretty tame, I reckon. From memory every hill on the Langdale course was tough - the last one insanely so, and the descents close to lethal!
