Twas indeed a fantastic day - went off too fast (several mile splits starting with 7) and paid for it big time over the last few miles. Was a couple of minutes behind the time I had targetted but on a day like this who actually gives a toss?
So many stars today - brilliant all round. Obviously, pride of place goes to the TiTs - all of them not just our two new World Record Holders - closely followed by Hipps. From a personal viewpoint though, my stars of the day were RooA and Slowboy - dishing out jelly babies at the top of the Miller Howe 'speedbump' (to use eLBee's euphemism) just as I thought I was about to collapse. They got me to the finish - thanks both, I owe you one.
