Seemed alot of folks weren't even close to a grand. it would be bad PR as at the moment he'd only have 2 runners !!

PJL Mar 2009 1:49pm, 31 Mar 2009 386 posts	PJL V'rap, there may be no obligation to raise money, but that's not the impression I got this morning when I received 3 emails about fundraising from the "Head of fundraising" at Brathay. I haven't read all the info yet, but what I have read seems to imply that they're expecting (rather than hoping or requesting) that I will raise money for them. At least I know they've got my entry, and I realise they do need to raise funds, but I think their approach is a bit heavy-handed and presumptious. Then again, this is my first marathon entry, so I don't know if it is normal to get bombarded in this way.

If Scott is doing things that get up people's noses regarding fundraising expectations, I think that ought to be fed back.

Foxy Davy Mar 2009 5:02pm, 31 Mar 2009 3,362 posts	Foxy Davy Lets face it must be getting tougher out there for charities given the credit crunch, I'm sure the first Direct debit to go for most when tightening their belts is funds to charity.
