How does the elevation compare with the Dartmoor Vale marathon? I quite enjoyed that one, and it was hilly.

Must admit I haven't done much in the way of fund raising at all, is it expected of all the runners, or can I just make a donation? Did Reading Half yesterday, which was pretty flat. Though perhaps weaving through the crowds made up for the lack of hills

Do you have to fundraise to do Windermere ? if you've paid your entry fee i wouldn't worry although i'm sure brathay would welcome any donations

Southcoastpete, there's absolutely no obligation for you to raise any money at all, and people run the Windermere Marathon for other charities as well as for the Brathay Hall Trust, but if you feel inclined to make a donation it would be most welcome here ... justgiving.com |

Well done Tango - you gonna give Mr Edwards a run for his money in May ? You'll be back hours before me each day. how's yor brathay fundraising going - looking on justgiving it would appear everyone except tim & myself is struggling - is that correct or do people need to update their offline donations ? |

We are not up to target yet. We are not, however, "struggling".

Glad to hear you're not struggling, was just worried some of the guys were as Scott wanted confirmation that folks had raised the required amount prior to the event or wouldn't be allowed to run & If I can help anyone out who is struggling I'd be happy to do so.
