I was meaning 40 days until the 10 in 10 - Steve Edwards reminded me it was so close, 50 until the marathon.
i'm sure all the TiT's would be very grateful of any support from fellow runners who wish to join us on any of the first 9 days
cumbri - 6 hours by day 10 might be optimistic, no idea unknown territory for most of us.

Right - I've entered. Now I've got that out of the way, I've started looking up details of the route (perhaps the wrong order to do things but never mind!).
Having run the Coniston 14 this weekend, I'm wondering how Windermere compares in terms of undulation. I've found some elevation profiles on MapMyRun, but since the Coniston one is not an accurate reflection of my experience of the route, I'm not sure I can rely on the Windermere one.
Is there anyone who has run both, who can tell me if the terrain is comparable to Coniston?

Did anyone ever manage to figure out what the total elevation gain/loss is over the 26 miles? Just wondering how it compares to my training runs (or don't I want to know?!)
