lighthouse is OK, but the apple pie shop rules supreme. Their luxury hot choc and a bath bun is a perfect post fells (or marathon) treat.
V'rap, we found a good little italian last year. Pizza's looked good, gnocci *was* good

V'rap the weather was awful, 50mph gusts of wind along the North cliffs, but very pleased to eqaul my 5th best ever with 3 hrs 29 mins 18 seconds. I did have to put in 4 x 7 min miles at the end to break 3.30, was my 50th so celebrated with a drop of bubbly, Tango Adam was 6th in 3.06 & Steve edwards 12th in 3.11.
really pleased with time given the conditions

Blimey! All the Fetch BoyTiTs are flying.
Congratulations on your 50th, FD
I turned in a half-marathon performance yesterday that suggests I'm in no danger of peaking too early

FD, no, I did not struggle in the slightest, but I did work reasonably hard for a half-marathon time that's about 40s/mile adrift of my PB.
Flanker, which one? We know from experience that Tarantello's is pretty poor, and haven't heard great reports of the place attached to the cinema.

Wasn't Taratello's
It was a small family-run-type one in a side street. Can't remember what it was called at the moment.

I was indeed at Draycote Water, FD. There was a bit of weather blowing around the place, but nothing that wouldn't be normal on a pleasant day in May in Cumbria

Zeferelli's (next to cinema) not bad, but once inside, you wouldn't know you were in the Lakes, and its veggie (I think), so not good for the carnivores... Lucy's is great, but a bit pricey - lovely food though and you get a mention on the menu if you have done (or are) something special... Congrats you TiTs, amazing times and in those conditions too! I did the Cub Grizzly, slightly further east and we were getting blown off our feet too
