Well the Edinburgh Marathon is only 2 weeks after Windy.
I guess for most people these are too close to each other. I hear from other forums if they don't get into FLM then the first thing they do is enter the Edinburgh as a good second option.

Hi dropping back into the thread again.
I've done FLM once, and I think I agree with most people in that its a great experience, but perhaps not really a good running one.
Doesn't stop me trying to get in again, though it is kind of my local race. I enter the ballot and if I don't get in, then I look for another spring marathon, thats why I'm doing this one.
I quite like to get a good variety of scenic/big city marathons too. Chicago is my other marathon this year, in October.
