Last year for the 10 in 10 we asked for the start time to be brought forward to try and avoid the heat of the day, but later on the start time had to be delayed as the physios needed more time to strap up the injured runners every morning. On Day 10 the TiT's started at 9am ( I think the main race started at 10?)
I started at 8am as I was suffering so much and ran the first 10 miles in solitude, which I enjoyed as I was sort of saying goodbye to that wonderful course, only meeting up with a guy on a bike who'd done the TiT the year before. The leaders of the marathon caught up with me at about 14/15 miles I think, I can remember Tango coming past me and saying "I'm going to do the TiT next year."
The marathon runners passing me and all being so supportive kept me going on the last day, it was fab and John the physio who had followed us round for 9 days in his car was on his bike and he was trying to patch me up, unsuccessfully, as what I needed was sleep and rest.
Ray who did the great PB on day 7 then ran the other 3 marathons with an ankle injury and wasn't able to run again until September. He's OK now and doing MdS this year

Haddi - sorry you can't do Edin or London, but look forward to seeing you up North ! - i presume we'll be easy enough to find out there, I'll be wearing number 8.
i guess i'll just start whenever they want me too or whenever it works out to be - just need a cuppa tea in bed & then i'll be up - just one sugar
i have to say I'm worried about the middle few, guessing I'll be tired but the end will still seem so far away, hoping by 9 & 10 the adrenaline of been so close to the end will help, but I have no idea how it will go, but gonna find out.
