i really enjoyed the first one but was so down for a week after until I booked the second one, decided to be reckless & think i could do one every 6 months - LOL !!!
I really don't know why but i just feel kind of empty about the whole running thing at the moment, just need some sort of spark to snap me out of it.

Foxy Davy, you're right. What's the point? The same bloody long run ten days in succession, staying away from home, holed up in a lodge with people who must be strange because they're doing the same steeee-yoopid event, and a big fundraising commitment on top of it. Why? There's no need. You could quit now. You could even make up an external reason for "having to" pull out, and who's going to know it's not real?
[Looks around for more gremlins to throw at FD in the manner of the Weasleys de-gnoming their garden.]
It's really going to HURT, and even Steve Edwards had had enough of the course by the end - and he was banging out 3:30 marathons.
And maybe you'll FAIL. How scary is that? Better, perhaps, not to start?
(Keep those gremlins, please. I don't want the little sods back.)
Actually, I have no doubt whatsoever that you'll come through the training doldrums, and have two pieces of advice. 1. Allow yourself a little cutback. Give it a focus - doing well in one of your pre-TiT races, whole-body recovery, or whatever. 2. Make an opportunity to go and acquaint yourself with the course.
