Anyone is interested, we are going here... www.oldvicarageambleside.co.uk They have a pool with jacuzzi and sauna and some rooms have spa baths (could be handy for aching legs). Some rooms still available, word of the marathon doesn't seem to have got around yet. Haven't read any reviews because some one always hates something. Nowhere seems to be cheap

oooh, we stayed in Brathay Lodge the first time in 07 - its was fabbo, jacuzzi baths 'n all. wonder if its booked out yet? My training not currently happening, but staying on list just incase, I had an idea for 2 fetchpoints, one at Hawkshead, then dash to the ferry and do another at Bowness - might just make it before the front runners arrive...? |

I would actively unrecommend Norwood House. We stayed in the Newby Bridge Hotel last year after the race, and it was lovely. We avoid staying in Ambleside because we've yet to find a B&B there that isn't overpriced and run by the offspring of those Blackpool seaside landladies with gravy on their pinnies and lists of House Rules. |

Welcome to Fetch, RunGaryRun The list is looking extremely healthy, and I predict many excellent cakes. eL Bee! and I are going up on Saturday for a TiT training event, and hope to recce the entire route on Sunday. Although we've run it twice before, I'm not at all confident of my ability to find my way round when there are 15 runners and a couple of supporters rather than a cast of thousands. |

Hi there RGR - I see that you'll be doing Snowdonia again this year I've left the accommodation side to a clubmate - I think about 10 from our club will be doing the race - we're meant to be discussing/sorting the accommodation at club curry night next week |
