It is a good article - thanks for sharing M_N - it probably is pretty close to 26 miles around Windermere on the road - that's why the race route finishes up the driveway into the Brathay estate to finish in front of the hall. Don't worry - it's not a short course

Just a week to go then - the 10 in 10 is well underway and the weather forecast (so far as we can set any stall by that in Cumbria a week ahead of time!) looks promising. Everybody looking forward to the weekend? |

Sounds like fun (?) Ceratonia - hope it's going well. Shame for you XB but I'm sure you can find somewhere to amuse yourselves - I'll keep my eyes open. Just a brief note of caution for anybody hoping to use the trains this weekend - national rail site is reporting no trains on the West Coast Main line between Lancaster and Carlisle (so it's replacement buses to Oxenholme and Penrith) and a replacement bus service between Oxenholme and Windermere. May be worth a review of plans. |

I'm very much looking forward to a long weekend in some beautiful scenery and lots of cider drinking. the marathon is very much a secondary objective
