Tigglette birthday hugs
Calming, anti-stress, anti-explosion hugs.
No HB, teenagers have way more energy and mostly don't care if you wait up or not. I think a lot of waiting up until kids get in is for the parents' happiness, not the teenager's.
Long, long, stressful, sad, annoying day at work hugs.
So far today I have been told I'm lovely, I'm sexy, asked if I'd give 'some pussy', told to shut up, fuck off, I'm a liar, and been told that someone would like to hack my head off. I also managed a total of 40 minutes of breaks in a shift lasting over 12 hours. I'm back for the same again tomorrow.

Is your work about to get a letter from your solicitor, Carp? That's awful (except the bit about you being lovely, obviously)
Hugs, everyone.

No Nellers, should have mentioned that the compliments and insults were received from elderly people with dementia or delirium. In fact, one compliment and one insult were from the same person.

Ah. Well that's still a rough day but at least it's not colleagues. Must be pretty tough to deal with that sort of thing regularly, though.

((Carp)) I can remember the wonderful people who looked after my Grandad... So thank you by proxy! I was sad they never knew the charming, funny man he was before their dementia set in! Bed time, nearly weekend hugs xx

Gosh, rough day Carp, have a hug.
Just finished for the night I think. Pooped hugs.
I played for a memorial service today. The body wasn't there as been donated to medical science. So instead of a coffin there was her bright pink wheelbarrow with flowers from her garden... And entering to the Archers theme tune. Thought that was pure class.

Brilliant Tiggs. When I go I don't want a lot of moping over a coffin. I'll be happy for a pair of battered running shoes to go through the curtain to the strains of "Vital Signs" by Frank Turner as everyone raises a glass to me and smiles about something stupid I once did. There'll be plenty of options for the whole crowd, I'm sure.
"And when I'm gone the world revolves and life goes on so mark no grave, forget my name, if the song remains and everybody's got a drink and a smile then that's just fine by me!"
Then I want them all to go to parkrun.;-)
