I hope you haven't misunderstood Mr Pato. He has cut and pasted a section direct from the website. Admittedly it may look like he has added his own eco-friendly sentence at the end but its part of a longer message on the site. Oops.

Where are you travelling from ? Its South Manc/Stockport area.

mmmmmmm.

I'm in Sheffield, haven't looked very hard for anything more local. I want to do some 5K stuff but not so keen on race for life.

mmmmmmmmm. I suppose if you combined it with a day out or visit to somewhere it could be worth it. Having done the journey in reverse for the Sheff half I know the journey can be a pain. All windy roads and traffic lights....
It is good though and the course is tough for a 5k but much better than many 5k road races. Good atmosphere and mix of abilities tool.

I don't mind the journey all that much. It is a long drive for 5k I suppose so I guess I'll miss out. Back to hunting out something similar nearer.

Rooa - didn't mean to come across as a demented sandal wearing tree hugger - as pointed out by tbb the environmentally friendly bit was stuck at the end of the directions I cut and pasted I didn't even notice it to be honest.
