Wimped out of BRTT this morning due to the weather but included a lap on my LSR this afternoon - it was still horribly muddy in some bits this afternoon so gods knows what it was like this morning :-)

RB - the "slippery bridge" sign is still on the course - is this a BRTT or a park sign?

Cocked it all up this morning - when I looked out at the rain this morning I thought I will switch the days for my 2 planned runs of the weekend - a LSR and a 5K race. As I turned off alarm and went back to sleep I smugly thought I will do LSR today and do Alex Park 5k tomorrow when it will hopefully be drier, only just found out that Alex Park was a week early this month and was actually last week- B*gger - serves me right for being a wimp this morning :-)

Pato - it wasn't that bad - 64 PBs out of 208 runners.

Heaton Park is all go - parkrun.org.uk - first one 20th June!!

I think that we should maybe go with Kwaka's suggestion and transfer the business of this thread to a "NW parkruns" thread or maybe even a "BP or WP or HP or CBA this Saturday?" thread

I'll try and pop over to do the Heaton Park TT soon. Should be a popular one!

Hi all.

Some of us Dragons are doing SportCity track thing Bob mentioned a while back this Wednesday. It's only now that we've discovered that we may be the youngest there by some distance... still expecting to be at the back, though.

Hope you enjoy it Jo - sounds fun - even for you young Dragons. Good chance to run on the Sportscity track. I can't make it now unfortunately - working away.

I'm hoping to run the first Heaton Park but same day as Lymm 5k so I might not be giving it the full bob.

Its looking like a goer Steve, but not sure if it will be starting in July or Aug.

Bob - I like the sound of a "HP/BP/WP/CBA your choice", named thread. :-)
