And the paths aren't really big enough to cope safely with the numbers and it is getting harder for the faster athletes to lap the slower ones. Although looking at the hundreds of photos from this week there are so many people really enjoying it. Really the answer is to spread the enthusiasm to Woodbank Park (and soon Heaton Park) and I'd encourage you all to get involved with these new parkruns. I've got my hands full with Bramhall but will be giving advice to the other teams when needed.

I would so love to get something going in the wirral in birkenhead park and the growing popularty you are seeing here only bodes well for new entrants to this community.

Chi - I can only encourage you to have a go at setting up a parkrun. Loads of runners near your area and not masses of races. Fmail me your email and I can send you some info.

As most of the races are on Friday evening or Saturday afternoon there is plenty of opportunities for "doubling" with BRTT. Series entries by end of next week. The Dunham Massey races tend to fill up. altrincham-athletics.co.uk
