Don't try to pace yourself off your Garmin. The trees and the inclines always play havoc with Garmins so your mile/Km splits will be all over the place. When I pb'ed the other week it gave my mile splits as 07:34 - 07:13 - 07:01 which obviously doesn't tally up at all with the 7 m/m required to equal my finish time. In other words run until your sick and never look at your watch ! Handily Rb or a marshall will be there after 1 lap to give you 2.5k split.
