Kinky - check the photos from the weeks that he's run - you can find the dates from the results.

lol at trying to find a 'scrawny mid-60s bearded bloke' at a running event... maybe I'm biased by my orienteering background but doesn't nearly everyone at a running event match that description? (I know that wouldn't be the case here cos Kinky specified a finishing time so you'd probably be able to pick her dad out - but I just got this mental picture of looking for someone matching that description at the events I go to and proper lolled) |

Chi - I've put the course map at - looks a bit scary as it was kindly drawn by orienteers - just follow the pink arrowed line. You'll see that that it is quite easy to follow your runner as the course twists around. In fact even if you just stand by the cross over bridge you'll see him 4 times. There is usually a group of spectators following the action. There are lots of adults (and a few kids) running that sort of time. The course is quite hard first time as it is easy to get tired on the hills. If possible run with him at least for the first section. My kids started off running just 1 lap of 2.5km which seemed to be a long way at 9-10. Having said that we have two 10-11 girls regularly running sub 21 mins. Fit kids tend to feel the cold so bring warm stuff for after. |
