Fish n chips for me (first chips of 2009 - trying to lose post Snowdonia lard).

I have visitors next weekend but might sneak out for a BRTT...

I have a Burns supper on Friday so I think a lie in will be in order.

Besides, I promised myself a week off to decide what to go for next, though the sub-90 half looks like its winning

Looking at the splits from yesterday I can go faster on a flatter course so either Wrexham or Wilmslow i think, though for support Wilmslow is best. I think I may be putting the marathon training on hold.

Homer - racing HMs is good marathon training. You'll definitely get 90 min HM - after which marathon pace will seem easy.

Wrexham is up to a minute faster than Wilmslow but as you found yesterday makes a big difference to have team mates just in front and behind.

HMs are good training but most collide with days when those long slow 20 milers click in. I also want to attack my 10k PB at Trafford as I managed to almost beat it yesterday. I am tempted to leave the marathon until later in the year and stay shorter for 2009.

And do BRTT again soon...once I get Burns night out of the way
