I had an excuse for not pushing too hard today as I've the XC tomorrow but there's no way in the world I'd have been anywhere near Homer however hard I tried. What I did say was that I doubt very much that I'll ever do a 5 km as fast as that and I wish I'd started running earlier in life. Never mind, I enjoy it now and I've still got room for improvement at the longer distances at least.

Next weeks is one where teams qualify for the next round. Not sure what the championship is called though. SEL & Manchester leagues are both on the Belle Vue fixture list... bellevueracers.co.uk
