Just noticed this thread. I'm originally from Bramhall, but now live in Surrey. I get to the Bushy Park TT when I can (usually work Saturday mornings and have been laid off running for a year) but would love to try out the Bramhall circuit when next visiting Ma and Pa. Maybe see you guys around Christmas time!!

I met that dog lady after a BRTT once - I was walking my own dog as a warm down (my dog and Mrs M62 came along to cheer me on one week back in Spring). She seemed really nice.
The next time I met her I was halting my progress in a BRTT to avpid trapling on her off lead dog (I put my dog on lead whenever I see a runner or cyclist apoproaching from the distance).
I met her again when I was marshalling - she said my clapping was scaring the dog (she didn't mind me clapping my dog way back in spring when she fetched a stick) & that runners were kicking her dog.
I think we need to be more tollerant of this lovely lady. She is just your average delusional, objectionablel, moaning busy body.

when encountering dog owners when out running I usually work to the following rule -
owner with 1 dog - shouldn't be a problem owner with 2 dogs - be slightly on guard owner with 3 dogs (especially if the owner is a scruffily dressed woman of a certain age) - almost certain the dogs will jump up at me or attempt to bite me
You may scoff but I've not been wrong with this rule many times

Mrs Anti-Runners has made it her life's work now to get in the way every Saturday morning hasn't she?
Afer Jezzer got chased by a dog and bitten a few weeks ago I give all dogs a wide berth.

I like Pat's rules!
We will have to keep smiling at her. At some point she has to give in and realise she's being just a bit foolish.

There must be a picture of her somewhere.
I agree jo, go over the top with being nice. If it doesnt work she might at least start feeling she's walked into a scene from the Stepford Wives and start getting really worried enough not to come out when the race is on.
