Hi Martin- what do you need to know? I own a 305.

I hear 405s are not as good - the touch screen technology is useless in rain or with gloves and scrolling round the screen is fiddly.

The 305 - the drive of your life! I love my Garmin.

If you want to try it out at a BRTT just fmail me.

Martin - It can feel a bit awkard on the wrist at the beginning but you get used to it - the benefits outweigh any discomfort and that soon goes. I do use the HRM - more than before & mainly during races (so I can see my current effort rate) and tough sessions (e.g fartleks, hill sessions etc...).

Dunc - I assume you mean Snowdonia? - Not sure. Sub 3h40m would be nice but the my new half PB on the calculator suggests a 3h23 is possible... I think that's way to optimistic but I've underestimated a few times before. Main aim is to finish quicker than edinburgh (3h53m50s). What you aiming for?
