Getting there. Dr Cabletow advised me to treat my ankle as though it's sprained - lots of RICE.

I'm a mildly dyslexic so I should get away with ICE on Sunday - the R can have a day off. Apparently hills don't help but trafford is pancake flat.

Hope you find your form again soon mate!

Great fun at the park today. River had overflowed flooding out the start/finish straight completely. So we started at the corner and ran an extra half hill at the end - all carefully paced out. Check out the photos ...

Think I'll risk the ribs at trafford as flat seems better than hills - but no bets eh ;).

Bit of adventure racing for BRTT then? Good improv.

You survived better than the lakeland trails - who had to cancel

I just looked at the photos from this morning - that's wet! Sorry I didn't make it, but I was hosting the Dragons Running Club barbecue at my house and up very very late. Nicole was a better woman than me and went home early.

I've spent the afternoon on the sofa, rehydrating for my long run tomorrow with Trafford 10k in the middle, so I'll probably see some of you there.

just had a look at the photos - bit of a transformation in that (normally) small stream that runs down beside the start.

Also crap news about the lakeland race cancelled, this weather is a pain in the a*se, although I did smile to myself while siiting in the garden this afternoon when sun was out and it was quite warm to be told by R5 Live weather report that there was torrential rain over manchester :-)

For various reasons I have missed a lot of runs over the last 5 weeks- did a 10miler today and have now more or less decided to give macc half a miss, which is a pity as I think it is a brilliant race :-( But think I need to spend a few weeks building base fitness back up then look for another target race to aim for between now and xmas
