I'm so impressed by the little boy. I did notice that there was someone who looked particularly small this week.

Great to see photos of some marshals at work. I also love the photo of people blurring past (0275) at the start - almost everyone is smiling - just what BRTT is about.

125 runners when so many folk are on their holidays is a fantastic number.

Could have done with you to chase at Alex Park this morning - there was a smaller turn out than normal (due to hols and Sale 10 I presume) ended up running laps 2 and 3 on my own (runner in front was over 200m in front and nearest runner behind was well behind me although I think someone was trying to chase me down at the end. Couldn't find that extra bit of effort needed and ended up running it slower than BRTT last week :-)

I think there is more chance I will break 20 mins in a 10k for a 5k split before I do it in a 5k race! :)

Other option is to set the treadmill to 3:59 km pace and refuse to get off for 20 mins or so

Pato - I almost joined you today but was way to knackered (had to pop out from 3am - 8am - bit of an emergency but all OK now).

Jacobi - Homer is right - start faster - get a fast first lap in and try to keep as much pace as poss for lap 2.

Settled for a fartlek en route to the gym followed by a 5 mile jog home. Absolutely shattered now - 4 runs in 1 weekend with only 3 hrs sleep.

See you all in a couple of weeks hopefully. If anyone wants to borrow "Fat Lady" (my Garmin) for a sub 20 attempt at BRTT just fmail me.

We're now shouting out the half way split times. I was 9s slower over 2nd lap.

Jezzer: hope that the leg is better. There were actually 2 fallers at that point - we even managed to open the first aid box for one. I'll try to warn more loudly next time.
