Yorkshire Pie (YP1)
Just don´t want to steal someone else´s glory But if I did win I´ll have to check whether that makes me the first person to win both HPTT and BRTT.

Well done YP1 - I'm sure that you are the first HPTT+BRTT double winner! But should you need to bring yourself back down to earth check out Mollie Williams who was 3rd on Saturday but ran 22:23 previous week in similar conditions - she's 10. |

And the only reason Mollie didn't beat her time this week was because she had to stop for a while on lap 2 due to a stitch, but she did then restart to complete the race - fantastic determination.

Yep - some of the younger kids times at BRTT are very impressive (it's flippin annoying as they cruise past you but impressive all the same )

Indeed - my daughter reported that she'd set off too fast because she didn't want her brother running in front ;). In the boys camp - Donnacha, also 10 - hasn't shown much respect for the 20 min barrier - running 19:40 this week. These kids run XC in the winter but in summer there isn't much past 800m so it is nice to give them a venue. Also entertaining to see them running against us oldies and making it look easy. I sense that when kids race their parents there is a bit of respect gained both ways. |

runners are never happy with the weather - always too cold/hot/rainy/not rainy enough/windy/wind in wrong direction Easiest thing too blame for not getting a PB is the weather (or a hangover)

Have got to feel so proud of Mollie and Donnacha from my Club they are terrific - as is Mollie's twin Sophie - and Sian and Katrina Davies - they make me feel so guilty because i haven't made it down to BRTT yet!!!!!!!!!!! |
