Jacobi, there's usually a group of us trying to run around that pace anyway. I will be on the day of the mile, too, although I would imagine I'll fail badly at both.

Thanks to all the marshals today. I really enjoyed it despite the rain and mud. Only 30 seconds off my pb so not too bad. Glad i wore trail shoes though! Sitting at the airport now waiting for flight.

Mrs 26.2 made her debut and clocked in an impressive sub 30 min - she said she wants to do it again as well - so BRTT will achieve what I can't - get Mrs 26.2 addicted to racing!
Sorry Dodge - I didn't see you - too busy talking to Kwaka.
Kwaka - nice to catch up and meet your family - Mrs 26.2 appreciated Mrs Kwakas support & encouragement.
YP1 - Glad you enjoyed the BRTT - that hill is a killer isn't it!
Bob - I shamefully forgot to bring any forms for The Eddie Cheetham Memorial 7k so will try to bring some next week (if I run).
Thoroughly enjoyed marshalling again but could really do with a run next Saturday (might not make it as ushering at wedding same day). Off on hols the week after that but I have to get a sub 20m before the end of Summer (I think I may have left it a bit late!).
One of the dog owners I spoke to moaned that one of the runners stepped on her dog last week and is psychologically scarred. I doubt this is the case!

shouted hi to you Steve...but you seemed like a man with a mission on the way to your marshalling spot!
Sorry not to recognise you Kwaka...hopefully next time.
the lady that complained previously to the council was very worried about how scared her little dog was...but did indicate that she had tried to change her dog-walking times...

Steve, if you can fmail me the forms for the ECM 7k I will have them at work for people to collect. Linda might still have my email address for work (Borders) as I put the Reddish Vale forms out earlier in the year. Currently have all the Wilmslow races and parkrun stuff up for customers to pick up in the shop so and it seems to work.
Mike.

Steve - I didn´t actually think the hills were too bad, it was more the mud and narrowness of some of the paths which mean it´s probably a slightly slower course than HPTT. Far more scenic though, I enjoyed running through the woods. The support was great too, as it is at HPTT. I´ll beback if I´m in Manchester on a Saturday in future.

Sorry Dodge, I didn't hear you - I was a bit late setting off for my but that's no excuse for me not saying hello. Great photos (as always) by the way.
The dog walking lady also told me that she had set off late that morning (i.e. 29/7/8) hence she was still there with dogs at 8.55am. The main thing is that she is willing to budge a bit and that her dog is not really hurt.
As a dog owner and runner I am often in a dichotomy when it comes to the politics of public space. The problem is that public space for sports is becoming so scarce these days that we all place more value and sense of ownership on it these days. We have to learn to share it sensibly cos there ain't that much of it left.
